How long will it take?
At present it is taking approximately 1 to 2 weeks for a Work Permit to be approved by Work Permits (UK).
After the Work Permit is approved, the employee may need to apply for entry clearance to the UK. Entry clearance applications to the UK may take another 1 or 2 weeks to process after the Work Permit is issued.
There is also a requirement that the spouse and dependents of the Work Permit holder apply for entry clearance if they intend to accompany the Work Permit holder to the UK.
