Medical Practitioners

Medical Practitioners

There is a significant shortage of Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and associated professionals in the UK. For this reason the British Government welcome applications for these occupations.

As a Medical Practitioner you can enter the UK in a number of different ways:

-
A UK Work Permit;
-
The Highly Skilled Migrants Programme (HSMP);
-
In your own right as a Postgraduate Doctor or Dentist
To work in the UK as a Doctor or a Dentist, you need to be registered with the General Medical Council.

UK Work Permit

You can find more details on obtaining a Work Permit as a medical professional in the UK Work Permit. Section of our website.

HSMP

Under the HSMP General Practitioners may be eligible for 50 points as a priority application. You can find more details on entering the UK under the HSMP as a medical professional in the HSMP Section of our website.

Postgraduate Doctor or Dentist

You can apply to enter the UK as a Postgraduate Doctor or Dentist and a trainee General Practitioner if you meet certain requirements.

If you meet the requirements you will be granted leave for the duration of your Foundation Programme, but not exceeding 26 months. If you are interested in coming to the UK under this category you can contact us on:
