What is the Working Holidaymaker Scheme?
The working holidaymaker scheme is an excellent way for a Commonwealth citizen aged between 17 and 30 to come to the United Kingdom (UK) for an extended holiday for up to 2 years. You can work, but only provided this is incidental to the holiday. The holiday should be the primary reason for your stay.
If you were granted a working holidaymaker visa on or before 7 February 2005 you will continue to be allowed to do any type of work in the UK and will be allowed to work for the whole of the two year period in the UK. However, the new restrictions on switching from the working holidaymaker category to another category will apply.
