Can I qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)?

To qualify for permanent residency you must have spent a certain number of years in the UK already depending upon the basis on which you are in the UK already. The table below has been devised for your guidance:

There are different requirements for you to meet depending on the basis upon which you are here already. However, in general you will need to meet the following requirements for permanent residency which apply to all applications:

You can maintain and accommodate yourself adequately without recourse to public funds; and
2
You have passed the ‘Life in the UK’ test
