The Law Society is the governing body of all Solicitors in England and Wales and have
set up a series of specialist panels. One of those panels is the Family Law Panel.
There are various routes to become a member of the Family Law Panel and usually
these routes include at least several exams to ensure that a Solicitor applying to join
the Specialist Panel, is of sufficient calibre and experience to be accredited with the
status of a Law Society Family Law Panel Solicitor.
Experience shows that a sensitive and constructive approach to settling differences
is usually beneficial to all concerned. An aggressive approach can often result in little
more than a long exchange of complaints and thereafter the opportunity to settle
matters on a reasonable basis is lost.
Accredited Law Society Family Law Panel Solicitors are aware of this and usually try
to act in a non-confrontational manner. Especially where there are children involved,
as it is recognised that there will usually need to be a continuing relationship between
the parents, even after a divorce, or separation has taken place.
We are happy to advise that Shak Inayat is on the Panel.
If you would further information on the Law Society Family Law Panel, or our
commitment to the panel, please do not hesitate to contact us or the Law Society direct.
